Housed in a beautiful 19th century building, the museum traces the history of Cavan from prehistoric times through to rural life in the 1950s. A fine display of 18th, 19th and 20th century costumes.

Killinkere Visitors Farm
Visit a traditional working farm. Hold a chicken, cradel a puppy, catch a bunny, lambs, piglets, kittens, cockatoo, liamas, rabbits and goats.

Dun na Ri Forest Park
Dun na Ri park is just outside Kingscourt, 6 miles from Bailieborough along the banks of the River Cabra and featuring a dramatic gorge embracing part of the Cabra Estate, formerly owned by the Pratt family. The romantic Glen of the Cabra River, stretching the full length of the Park is an area steeped in legend. 

The park is famous for its ‘Wishing Well’ and Ice House. There are four walks with different points of interest and the park is full of wildlife.
